We are passionate advocates for promoting and developing a deep appreciation of Australian grown french black truffle in culinary circles and in the kitchens and dining rooms of 'Home Gourmets'.
To supply premium quality fresh produce in season from 'harvest to plate' in the shortest possible time. Inspire and ensure confidence in using truffle, resulting in a memorable 'truffle experience', through education and information provided on our website and in seasonal events at our Gippsland truffle farm.
Black Truffle Harvest’s proprietor, Noel Fitzpatrick has been involved in the industry since 2005. Noel is a founding member, past committee member and Vice President of the Australian Truffle Growers Association. Noel's dual careers in hospitality and horticulture inspired him to develop a truffle plantation in 2007 and Black Truffle Harvest Australia in 2011.
In 2008 Noel was awarded an International Specialised Skills Institute Fellowship to study the European truffle industry. He travelled to Italy, France, Spain, USA and New Zealand studying all aspects of this enigmatic, highly sought after ingredient including its culinary uses, growing and harvesting techniques, truffle grading, quality standards, host tree inoculation and regional 'truffle' tourism.
